About Me

I must be pretty proud of this blog to think that I might actually need an “About Me” page. Maybe if I write it in third person, it will sound more official.
Ryan Tow is just another guy with a blog on the internet. If you’re actually reading this, it probably means you found at least ten seconds worth of merit in his blog, wanted to know a bit more about him. As such, here is a bit more. Born the first son of an only son of a Norwegian farmer in Northwest Iowa, Ryan grew up in the suburbs of Des Moines, Iowa.
After a semester as a declared pre-law student at Iowa State University, he decided that years and years of nothing but reading sounded rather boring, and as such switched to a major consisting largely of coloring – a Landscape Architecture from the College of Design @ Iowa State University. Seven days after graduation, Ryan married the love of his life, and shortly thereafter moved to scenic Branson, Missouri, to take up a career as a fan dancer for Andy Williams.
The fan dancing thing didn’t work out very well, so he took up with a small design firm, where he quickly became the in-house computer monkey. This career as computer-monkey has morphed into a satellite office in his hometown (affectionately known as the Hole Replacement Facility, or HRF), a strange ability to manage an IT structure from 400 miles away, and a passion for computer graphics.
Ryan’s home life is a slice of the American dream – a wife, 3 kids, a house, a minivan, and even a table saw.
There isn’t much else to say. Sometimes biographies are just there to be there. Stick around awhile. Maybe he’ll say something marginally interesting.
